Everyone deserves opportunities to have a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health.
That’s why United Way’s work is focused on the building blocks for a good life:
- Education– Helping Children and Youth Achieve Their Potential
- Income – Promoting Financial Stability and Independence
- Health – Improving People’s Health
Advancing the common good is less about helping one person at a time and more about changing systems to help all of us. We are all connected and interdependent. We all win when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable, when people are healthy.
United Way’s goal is to create long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of these problems. Living united means being a part of the change. It takes everyone in the community working together to create a brighter future. Give. Advocate. Volunteer. Powerful Partners LIVE UNITED.
Take Action: Change a Life
By pooling our resources, we can achieve more than any of us could achieve individually.
A donation form has been distributed to all Truman faculty and staff. This form will help facilitate your gift and should accompany your payroll, check, or cash contribution. The bottom pink copy is for you. Be sure to sign the pledge form. Checks should be written to the “United Way.” Please return your pledge form regardless of whether or not you are able to assist in this year’s fundraising campaign. By returning the form, we will be assured that you received it, and you will thereby avoid further, unnecessary contact with the campaign leadership. As with prior campaigns, you do have the option of specifying the agency/ies to which your donation should be given. Please return your form, along with any contribution by October 15. Please keep in mind that a donation of $250 or more leads to your recognition as a member of one of the giving circles or societies in the annual campaign report.
Thank you for your support of the campaign.
